Hi Aficionados a major loft clear out has uncovered an old scrap book full of 1937 and earlier boxing newspaper cuttings (some pasted in but most are loose). In amongst the clippings and cartoons were some old photos. both signed on the back (in pencil), one by a fighter called Freddy Welsh and the other looks like Fred Dyer -can't be 100% sure though. Does anyone know someone who might be able to recognise these names and signatures and hopefully authenticate them? Are there any auction centres that specialise in old boxing stuff?
Any ideas if they might be worth anything? seems a shame to just throw them away.
thanks in advance Jon

Did you manage to take any photos or copies of the clippings. I am researching a Bristol boxer called George Rose who was trained by Fred dyer in London.
My email address is leewoodward1974@yahoo.co.uk
I have also been trying to find out what happened to Fred dyer if anyone knows or has any information on Fred Dyer or George Rose I would be very grateful if you could get in touch with me.
Many thanks Lee Woodward
