Hi Well I thought I'd try this again!
This is probably a long shot, my Dad when he was very young in his teens boxed a few bouts in the Sunderland area. This would be the late twenties early thirties. Years ago, I saw an old boxing poster from a bill at the old Sunderland Stadium and in the bottom right hand corner I saw his name fighting an opponent in one of the preliminaries. He went by the name of Young Crosby. I've looked for a record of his fights on Boxrec but there's so far nothing recorded although I do know he was fighting under age. I can't remember who was the main bout but I suspect it was the famous Sunderland middleweight "Cast Iron" Jack Casey fighting a German boxer, but I may be wrong. I was wondering if any of the old boxing poster collectors out there had seen any posters with his name on, like I say an extreme long shot but I know this poster existed and you never know someone out there may just have one. If they did I would be willing to pay for any scan and copy taken from it. Any help from anyone out there would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Tough Many thanks for the reply, that's much appreciated. I'm not sure if that is my Dad as he was a Sunderland man and only fought out of one stable in the East End of the city, and also he told me he was never beat!! I suppose it's a possibility though, and i'll make some further investigations. Regarding the Jack Casey fight you've highlighted, the poster my Dad's name was on was definitely at The Holmeside Stadium in Sunderland but I know he was fighting a German boxer. Once again I really appreciate the time you've taken to look this up many thanks.
