I'd be grateful to any members who can shed some light on the boxer known as Young Stoneyford who was from Lisburn in Ulster.
Miles' piece on the main site is the most informed content on the whole WWW and I can request more details but I suspect that will be technical fight data rather than biographical. I remember meeting a couple of fight fans and boxers themselves in Mallusk Co. Antrim c. 1979 who told me that the teenage giant was going to be a British and World contender - I never heard another seen or heard another thing about him until reading the content on this site today.
So whatever happened? He has a fight record of 2 bouts and 2 wins. Both at the Ulster Hall....the first bout over in 20 seconds the second in the second round.
Great site and I hope I can share some other great boxing memories here.
Thanks, Steve
